It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the chance.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it's been a challenging time because I feel like I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you take the field, your fighting spirit kick in and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and after that the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.
